Intercom System & Access Control

Intercom systems have changed over the last few years and now intercoms have started to incorporate access control systems as well, this means that your intercom system can also allow access without the need to use keys.

On large unit buildings and office buildings, access control system is necessary, before the introduction of intercom systems with access control systems integrated, large buildings used to have to use two systems which would then need to be compatible with the door release system. By using one system there is a lot less parts and less long-term problems for the intercom system.

Intercom system and access control systems are ideal for large buildings or unit complexes that require the entrance to be locked, but also allowing access for visitors and residents.

Intercom systems work by pushing the desired number, which then makes the intercom handsets ring on inside allowing the person inside answer the call and push a button to allow access into the building.

Access control systems work by swiping a key tag next to the intercom which will allow the door to open. Access control cards can be added and removed from the system when needed; access control cards also have a lot less wear and tear compared to key access systems.

By incorporating intercom system and access control system into the one unit, it makes the system look a lot nicer; it also makes the system a lot more functional and usable. Intercom system & access control systems all in one are often cheaper to install and maintain.
