One of the main points our locksmith wish to share with new up coming locksmith is to be alert , be aware of being taken advantage of, alot of bosses work their employees for many hours and the pay is the absolute minimum possible by law! This is a common practice and you should be aware of your rights, Maybe working over the weekend is not necessary ? Do your research there are still unions and people who can give you good advice how to keep your apprenticeship and not be exploited. Even if the locksmith company is the biggest it doesn't guarantee its the best for you as an employee. Also be aware that most trades have some kind of way to initiate you into their team, be aware of practical jokes and nasty tricks as an apprentice!! Have a look around the locksmith workshop and ask your self "would I want to be around these people for the next for years for 30-50 hours a week" Some locksmith shops are small and confined, Being stuck next to some over weight locksmith on a hot day with a ungrateful boss who is always looking for things to complain about , may not be everyone's choice of employment, There are always good and bad, so look before you leap , it could save your time and your potential employers time too.
