This packing plate is for the Block lock to lift the lock to the correct height. Buy placing the packing plate under the lock the lock body will be 3mm higher. Made from metal this packing plate can also be used the help squeeze the door the lock is being mounted too. For an example, if you are installing a block lock to a garage door and the inside of the door is uneven you can use this packing plate to even up the surface from this inside. It is also possible to weld this plate so you can also use this plate to provide the correct footprint of the lock. This packing plate is the same size an the Block lock, so if you are installing a number of Block locks you can turn this packing plate into a template as well.
