This tool is used to trace wires and identify wires, When you are installed an alarm, intercom, or network system you might find you have a lot of the same color wires or wires that you cannot follow back and see where they belong to. With this tool you simply connect one end to the tone generator and the other part the probe can then be used to find which wire is connected to the tone. There is also a telephone wall connection for easy connection.
