Gainsborough Deadbolt Adaptor – Replacement Part

This is a direct replacement adaptor for the Gainsborough deadbolt/deadlock mechanism — a small but critical part that is commonly broken and notoriously difficult to source. As the original part is no longer manufactured, we now stock this after-market stainless steel version, which offers greater strength and durability.

If your Gainsborough deadbolt isn’t working as it should, this part may be the cause. To check, simply remove the lock from the door by unscrewing the two lock cylinders. Inside, you’ll find two small screws on the rear of each cylinder. Once removed, you’ll see the adaptor piece (as shown in the product photos). If it’s cracked or broken, this replacement will get your lock working again, without needing to replace the entire unit.
