This old key is made precut to shape, it will fit an old fashion lock which is called a ?Mortice lock.?  A mortice lock is a lock that is fitted inside the door from the edge. You will need to open the door and look at the edge of the door to see the lock. If you have an old lock and you need more keys we sell a range of keys for old Mortice locks. Look at the number at the top of the key. Over time the number have changed so you original key may not have a number or have a different number. If it looks the same it most likely will work.
